The Last of Us (TLOU) gained popularity this year after the TV series was released by HBO, but many don’t realise it was based on a game. Part one follows a dystopian world after a global pandemic which turns humans into zombie-like ‘clickers’ and the survival of the character Ellie. She finds out she is the key to a cure for this outbreak and is put in the hands of Joel who protects her on a mission to get her to the ‘fireflies’ for humanity’s last hope. This game is captivating and is perfect if you are looking for that interactive storyline based game with a shooting mechanic. Although this game is from Joel’s POV, it explores Ellie as well and often you play as a duo but you control Joel’s character.
