Although not a specific female-led story line, but one where you can choose a female character and personalise them. Stardew Valley is another pixel style game which involves both storyline and a management sim. You inherit your grandfather’s farm house in a Valley called Stardew, as you explore and learn new skills to begin to build your new life. The game is a mixture of animal crossing, the sims and minecraft, with the option of farming and even dating to start a family with someone living in Stardew. With lots of other NPC’s, you can engage in different storylines and learn unique things about each character like birthdays. You can explore the world by fighting monsters, finding treasure and learning how to live off of the resources around you. This game is quite complicated with its crafting and farming systems but there is plenty of help online and even a guidebook. If you are finding it difficult to solo play, you can invite up to 3 players to join your world to help you raise animals, farm and craft! There is so much realm in this game that you will never be bored, it's an ideal game for cosy rainy days and to escape your own life for a short while.
